Great joy at the IWC in London

96 points and the world's best Riesling

The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is an internationally influential wine competition that has been held every year in Great Britain since 1984. At this year's tasting, our Kremser Kreuzberg Riesling Kremstal DAC Reserve 2021 won three trophies: the Austrian Riesling Trophy, the Austrian White Trophy and as the highlight, the International Riesling Trophy.  The IWC expert jury was enthusiastic about our "beautyfully balanced Riesling" and with 96 points it was thus awarded as the best Riesling worldwide. In addition, Kremstal DAC Reserve Grüner Veltliner 2021 (93 points) and Ried Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner Kremstal DAC Reserve 2021 (92 points) achieved two further top ratings. The best wines were presented and awarded on July 4, 2023 at the "International Wine Challenge Award Dinner" at the exclusive "The Hurlingham Club" in London. Managing Director Ludwig Holzer, MSc and Export Manager Thomas Brunner, MSc has been there and received the coveted certificates from Co-Chairmen Tim Atkin, MW and Oz Clarke.
