The Riesling Kremser Pfaffenberg 2013 is the winner in the category Riesling of the SALON ÖSTERREICH WEIN and therefore the best Austrian Riesling.
The SALON ÖSTERREICH WEIN was founded in 1987 and is valued as the hardest wine competition of Austria. From more than thousand tasted wine samples, which have been go through multilevel selection processesof blind tastings, just 250 wines and 15 sparkling wines are nominated as best of the best.This year we are very glad that we are represented three times within the SALON:
In addition to the Riesling from the Pfaffenberg, the Riesling sparkling wine Haus Österreich and the Grüner Veltliner “Edition Chremisa” 2014 (which is also the “Landessieger” / Best Grüner Veltliner of Lower Austria) have been selected within the SALON.
On June 23rd the coveted award has been presented by the federal minister Andrä Rupprechter in the Viennese Palais Coburg.
